Project Knight!

Project Knight! is a 2025 production made for the University of Wollongong Dubai Film Festival. Raashid Ambel worked across the camera and lighting departments, pulling focus as First Assistant Camera and running the lighting package as Gaffer.

Focus is a discipline of preparation. I built the camera each morning, kept marks honest through the day, and logged every setup so the edit never had to guess.

Wearing the gaffer hat on the same production meant I could light for the lens I was pulling on — matching stop, depth and contrast to what the frame actually needed rather than what the schedule wanted.
